Teens from St. Eulalia's and surrounidng parishes came together to serve alongside hundreds of other youth in Florida. The staff of Catholic Heart Work Camp put on programs each nigh including Adoration, Reconciliation, Praise and Worship as well as skits and dance parties!! Our group even volunteered to help out with one of the skits about loving others and brining them to Christ.
Some of our group in their CHWC "Carpenter Commander" shirts.
Everyone was split up into different worksites. A highlight of the week was when the people we volunteered for came back to a session at the end of the week and was able to share how much of an impact just a few days volunteering was able to do.
Some jobs included fixing up houses, building chicken coops, removing invasive plants, restoring a hoarders house, painting a thrift shop and homes for homeless moms, teaching a bible vacation bible school, helping out at a daycare and more!
Pictured here is one of the worksites where teens were helping to remove invasive plants in a preserved park area.
Each night they had different programs with speakers, faith and lots of high energy!
Pictured above is a collage of all small squares which each of our teens colored and when it was their turn got up and shared who in their life has been an example of Christ or has brought them to the faith.
We made stops along the way down and back. On the way down we visited Savannah Georgia. On the way back we visited Disney Land and Washington D.C.
