Teens from our parish went to C.A.M.P.S out in Pittsfield MA from Monday to Saturday. They met with youth from all across MA and even from surrounding states for a week long summer camp of fun and faith! This is the second year in a row youth from our parish were able to attend.
Teens were welcomed off their buses with cheering and screaming camp staff excited to see them and a sea of bubbles!
Throughout the week teens listend to speakers from across the country. Touching on various topics that incorperated faith and our world today. Even some of the teens got up to share their own personal faith journeys.
They made friendships that will last a life time.
Everyone was split up into different teams for the entire week and competed in a slew of competative games and relay races.
Many had fun competing on the back of mega white swan floats.
A favorite of the week was when teams competed in a game of Quidditch. A game based off of the Harry Potter Series where each player needs to run around with a "broom" under their legs and aim at shooting the ball through three large hoops.
Some of the games included a massive game of Rock, Papper, Scissors, Shoot!
Each morning started with prayer by the lakeside.
The best game of all though was The Hunger Games. Starting on a Thursday night during the Capital Ball, names were drawn from each of the teams to be reperesented in the following days game. The tributes marched out and only the strongest made it to the cornucopia. Campers looked on as their tributes battled for their team.
